Beverly Shores

My sister and I were on our way home from another of our ancestry road trips when we accidentally came upon Beverly Shores.

Located in the Indiana Dunes National Park, we discovered that this area was developed after a group of art-deco houses were brought over on barges from where they were on display at the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair.

Earlier in the day, we fell in love with the reproduction retro posters in the Welcome Center gift shop and I used them as my inspiration for my interpretation of the majestic views from these houses that are now undergoing restoration.
